BetGames has declared that it has secured complete approval from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

BetGames will enter Ontario with this new permit. The permit will permit the live dealer provider to offer its range of products to operators already operating within the province. BetGames’ live lottery-style games and game show collection, such as Lucky 7, Lucky 5, and the Entain exclusive game Starzle, have achieved significant success.

The supplier is the most recent addition to the rapidly expanding regulated market in Ontario, which experienced a 64.8% increase in the second quarter, reaching C$267 million from C$162 million (GBP 104.1 million/EUR 120 million/USD 118.1 million) in the first quarter. The market, which has now been operational for six months, commenced on April 4, 2022.

“We are thrilled to receive a supplier license in the Ontario market, which not only allows us to broaden our global presence but also to entertain new audiences with our casino, digital betting, and sports betting offerings,” stated Andreas Koeberl, CEO of BetGames.

“The regulated market in Ontario exhibits immense potential, and we are enthusiastic to be a participant, joining this newly regulated market.”

The company is authorized by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) and the UK Gambling Commission, as well as regulatory bodies in South Africa, to provide its products.

BetGames joins a group of recently authorized gambling enterprises in Ontario, including L7 Entertainment, World Series of Poker, Apollo, BetSafe, and Pala.

The AGCO has cautioned that it will take strict measures against unauthorized operators providing services in Ontario beginning on October 31st. “We will act against any firm that does not adhere to our rules,” the regulatory body stated.
