SkyCity has brought Philip on board as their new head of human resources and company culture.

The gambling enterprise, SkyCity Entertainment Group, has declared that Sean Philip will be their new Chief Human Resources and Culture Officer.

Philip will begin his new position on September 4th. Greg McNair, who currently manages employee services for human resources and culture in Auckland, will be filling the role until then.

Philip has a wealth of experience in human resources. He is presently the Chief Human Resources Officer at Chorus NZ, a position he has held for over five and a half years.

Prior to this, Philip worked at AMP for over 10 years, where he held a variety of roles, including General Manager of Human Resources.

He also worked at Telecom New Zealand for nearly two and a half years as Head of Learning and Capability.

Philip’s new position is still awaiting government approval.

This announcement follows SkyCity’s January announcement that David Attenborough, the former CEO and Managing Director of Tabcorp, would be joining their board as a non-executive director.

SkyCity hopes to have Attenborough officially join the board by March 1st. He has agreed to take the new position, but they haven’t formally announced it yet.

SkyCity has recently appointed Carolyn Kidd as their new Chief Risk Officer.
