A prominent iGaming affiliate company, Catena Media, has acquired a portfolio of websites and domain names from i15 Media in a deal worth $45 million. Included in the acquisition are prominent platforms such as Michigansharp.com, poised for significant growth as Michigan embraces legal sports wagering. This strategic move signifies Catena’s expansion into the North American market, with an eye on both established and emerging markets like New York, which is preparing to legalize sports betting.

Beyond sports, the acquisition encompasses websites dedicated to the wider online casino and gaming landscape. Catena’s CEO, Michael Daly, expressed enthusiasm about the deal, highlighting its potential to significantly bolster their presence in North America. Furthermore, the i15 team, instrumental in building these platforms, will remain onboard, providing their expertise and underscoring Catena’s commitment to maximizing the success of this venture. This acquisition clearly indicates that industry leaders are making substantial investments in the future of online gambling within the United States.

Catena Media is investing heavily to strengthen its foothold in North America. The firm will spend $25 million to purchase assets owned by Action Network, a sports wagering media company headquartered in Boston. An initial payment of $5 million will be made, with the balance of $20 million disbursed over a three-year period. To finance the outstanding $12.5 million, Catena Media is issuing in excess of 2 million fresh shares.

This strategic acquisition comes on the heels of two other significant maneuvers by Catena Media within the US market. In May, the company secured Lineups.com for $3.96 million, and in August, it broadened a collaboration with SportsDataIO, a prominent provider of sports information.
