The Curaçao Gaming Control Board (GCB) has designated Cedric Peters as its new Chief Executive, commencing February 1st. Peters possesses a wealth of expertise, having dedicated 20 years at the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten (CBCS) in diverse regulatory and leadership positions. His selection arrives at a critical juncture, as Curaçao reforms its gaming sector under the National Ordinance on Games of Chance (LOK). Peters will supervise existing licensing operations and steer the GCB through this evolution, concentrating on operational effectiveness, anti-money laundering (AML) protocols, and regulatory adherence. Both Peters and GCB Supervisory Board Chair, Frans Simon, conveyed assurance in Peters’ capacity to guide the GCB into a fresh chapter, generating value for all involved parties, including the Minister of Finance.

Hes a financial virtuoso, providing us with astute planning, a comprehensive grasp of regulations, and a results-oriented approach.

This development follows closely on Continent 8 Technologies’ declaration to set up a new data center in Curaçao, coinciding ideally with the Curaçao Gaming Control Board’s initiatives to modernize its operator licensing framework.
